Ohio SB319 amends the state's Revised Code to enhance the authority of county departments of job and family services. These departments can now investigate reports of exploitation of adults in long-term care facilities or residential care facilities. If an investigation determines that protective services are needed, the department or its designee must provide these services. This authority is in addition to the duties of the long-term care ombudsman program.
