Create the Ohio Food and Agriculture Policy Council

Establishes the Ohio Food and Agriculture Policy Council to recommend policies for sustainable food systems.

The Ohio Food and Agriculture Policy Council is created to recommend policies that strengthen Ohio's food and farm economies. The Council will focus on food security, access, production, waste, economic development, procurement, and food chain workers. It will develop a statewide plan for an equitable, healthy, and sustainable food system, engage in educational outreach, and make annual recommendations to the General Assembly. The Council consists of the Director of Agriculture or their designee, and eight other members appointed by the Governor, each serving a four-year term.
