Complete·11/5/25

Ohio House Resolution 227 urges the U.S. Department of Justice to expedite the connection of NCIC and NamUs databases.

Ohio House Resolution 227 urges the U.S. Department of Justice to expedite the connection of the national crime information center (NCIC) and NamUs databases. This follows the 2022 federal Help Find the Missing Act, also known as Billy's Law, which mandates this connection to allow automatic transfer of missing persons case information. The Ohio Missing Persons Working Group found no evidence of automatic transfers occurring between the systems.
