Ohio HCR27 supports using state land in Chillicothe for a new national veterans cemetery.

The Ohio General Assembly supports using state-owned land in Chillicothe for a new national veterans cemetery. This land, located north and west of the existing Chillicothe VA Medical Center, is deemed suitable for this purpose. The resolution highlights Chillicothe's historical significance as a World War I training camp and its current role as a site for veterans' healthcare. The resolution directs the Clerk of the House to send authenticated copies to the Governor, the U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs, the Advisory Committee on Cemeteries and Memorials, and Ohio news media.
