Ohio HB99 excludes healthcare benefit coverage provided by certain nonprofit agricultural membership organizations from being considered insurance or a health benefit contract under state law. These organizations, incorporated in Ohio before December 31, 1919, to promote farmers' interests, are exempt from Title XXXIX and Chapter 1751 of the Revised Code and the jurisdiction of the superintendent of insurance. The risks from their healthcare coverage can be assumed or reinsured by authorized insurance companies.
