Introduced Text

Ohio HB907 mandates food literacy standards for kindergarten through twelfth grade.

Ohio HB907 requires the Department of Education and Workforce to adopt food literacy standards for grades kindergarten through twelve by December 31, 2026. These standards, based on national and state benchmarks, will guide students on making healthy food choices, meal preparation, and food production. The department must post these standards on its website and share them with all school districts and community schools. Schools can incorporate the standards into their curriculum, and must provide students with access to the standards if not used in the curriculum.
