HB905

Prohibit common ownership of certain health care entities

Introduced·5/13/26
Introduced Text

Ohio HB905 prohibits common ownership of certain health care entities to prevent monopolies.

Ohio HB905 amends the Revised Code to prohibit individuals or entities from owning both a health plan issuer or pharmacy benefit manager and a health care provider or management services organization. It also prohibits owning both a wholesale distributor of dangerous drugs or medical devices and a health care provider or management services organization. Entities in violation must divest or cease services within specified timeframes. The bill creates a health care conglomerate separation fund for collected disgorgement orders and mandates a report on the impact of these prohibitions.
