Ohio HB784 mandates data centers to report water consumption and prohibits nondisclosure agreements on water use.

Ohio HB784 requires data centers to submit annual and monthly reports on water consumption to the chief of the Division of Water Resources. The annual report includes total water consumption and measures taken to improve efficiency. Monthly reports detail daily consumption, water sources, and intended applications. The bill prohibits data centers from including water consumption information in nondisclosure agreements with political subdivisions. Violations are subject to a civil fine of up to $1,000.
