The Ohio Vets-Military Families Childcare Act establishes a child care voucher program for veterans and military families. The Department of Children and Youth, in coordination with the Department of Veterans Services, will administer the program, providing support in the form of child care vouchers to eligible families. To qualify, a family must include a veteran or active duty military member, have a caretaker parent employed or in education or training, and have an income not exceeding 450% of the federal poverty line. The program will utilize publicly funded child care payment rates.
