Ohio HB707, or Kei'Mani's Law, updates the state's child abuse reporting requirements and enhances child protection measures. The bill mandates that certain professionals report known or suspected child abuse or neglect to public children services agencies or law enforcement. It also requires health care professionals to conduct medical examinations on siblings and other children in the same household if abuse is suspected. The law expands the definition of out-of-home care to include nonchartered nonpublic schools and mandates that these schools appoint a child protection liaison.
