Introduced Text

Ohio HB70 establishes requirements for the registration, titling, and use of replica motor vehicles.

Ohio HB70 amends the state's Revised Code to establish specific requirements for replica motor vehicles. Owners of such vehicles must have them inspected by the state highway patrol and obtain a written statement from an expert verifying the vehicle's replication of a historical model. The owner must also sign and notarize this statement. The bill defines a replica motor vehicle as one constructed to replicate a model at least 25 years old. Owners must obtain a certificate of title indicating the vehicle is a replica and display a replica license plate.
