Establishes the Data Center Study Commission to examine various impacts of data centers in Ohio.
The bill creates the Data Center Study Commission within the Department of Development. The Commission will study environmental, economic, and other impacts of data centers, including effects on the electrical grid, water usage, noise and light pollution, local economy, and national security. The Commission will hold public meetings to hear expert and public testimony, and will submit a report with recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly within six months.
