Introduced Text

Allows certain entities to apply Prevailing Wage Law to public projects and increases threshold for state projects.

This bill allows political subdivisions, special districts, and state institutions of higher education to elect to apply the Prevailing Wage Law to public improvement projects. It also increases the threshold amount that triggers application of the Law for certain state public improvements. Prevailing wages are determined by the director of commerce and must be paid to laborers and mechanics on public improvement projects. The bill repeals existing sections related to these provisions.
