Introduced·6/3/25
Introduced Text

Authorizes a four-month sales tax holiday for firearm safety and storage devices.

This bill amends the Ohio Revised Code to establish a four-month sales tax holiday for the sale of firearm safety and storage devices. The holiday will apply to sales occurring on the first Friday of August and the following Saturday and Sunday of any year, excluding 2024 and any subsequent years in which a sales tax holiday is held. The tax holiday aims to encourage the purchase of these devices by exempting them from sales tax during the specified period.
