Ohio HB236 amends the Revised Code to address crimes committed while masked or disguised. It creates the offense of masked harassment, a misdemeanor of the first degree, for anyone who purposely harasses, intimidates, abuses, or threatens another person while wearing a mask or other device that hides or conceals the person's face. It also modifies the offense of aggravated riot to include additional penalties when the offender is wearing a mask or is otherwise concealing or attempting to conceal the offender's face.
