HB2

Establish the Child Care Cred Program

Introduced·1/23/25

Establishes the Child Care Cred Program to share child care costs among employees, employers, and the state.

The Child Care Cred Program, established in the Department of Children and Youth, aims to enable employers to attract and retain talent, assist employees with child care costs, and sustain child care providers' businesses. Eligible employees must reside in Ohio and be selected by their employers, while employers must be located in the state. Employers and employees must submit a joint application to the department, which reviews eligibility. If eligible, employees select a licensed or certified child care provider, and employers may contribute to child care costs.
