HB154

Require school district approval-certain property tax exemptions

Introduced·3/6/25
Introduced Text

Ohio HB154 requires school district approval for certain property tax exemptions.

Ohio HB154 amends the Revised Code to require approval from a school district for certain property tax exemptions. The bill specifies that the owner of real property located in a community reinvestment area can file an application for an exemption from real property taxation. Approval from the school district is necessary unless the board has adopted a resolution waiving its right to approve applications. The housing officer can approve the application after the board certifies its resolution or if the board approves the application conditionally.
