New York S10699 amends the vehicle and traffic law to establish distinctive "In God We Trust" license plates. Any resident can request these plates, which will be issued upon payment of the regular registration fee and an additional annual service charge of twenty-five dollars. If at least two hundred orders are received before production, a required surety bond is waived. The plates will be issued in the same manner as other number plates.
