New York S10610 amends the election law to enable constitutionally-qualified electors to register to vote and cast a ballot on the same day at a polling location. The board of elections will process the registration, determine eligibility, and validate the registrant's information. If the registration is deemed effective, the corresponding ballot will be included in the official canvass. This act takes effect 90 days after becoming law.
