This bill authorizes the Cong Kehal Square of Roman to receive retroactive real property tax exempt status for the 2024 assessment roll and all of the 2023-2024 school taxes. If the assessor approves the application, the Rockland county legislature may grant the exemption and make appropriate corrections to the tax rolls. If the exemption is granted, the organization may receive a refund for any taxes paid and cancellation of any taxes, fines, penalties, interest, or window.
