This bill amends the administrative code of the city of New York to prohibit city agencies from procuring single-use plastic water containers. The prohibition does not apply if necessary to protect health, safety, and welfare, to prepare for or respond to an emergency, or when compliance would conflict with existing contract requirements or labor agreements. The act takes effect immediately.
