The bill amends the vehicle and traffic law to direct the commissioner of motor vehicles to provide a space on the forms of identification cards and licenses for a notation for returned peace corps volunteers. This space allows applicants to request a notation indicating their status as a returned peace corps volunteer. The commissioner shall not require fees for the issuance of such identification cards or renewals thereof to persons requesting a returned peace corps volunteer notation which is different from fees otherwise required.
