New York S10437 amends the administrative code to provide salary bonuses for members of the New York City Fire Department who retire with at least 25, 30, or 35 years of service. Members retiring with 25 years of service receive 5% of their highest grade of pay added to their salary for pension benefits. For each year beyond 25 years, an additional 1% is added, up to a maximum of 15%. Members retiring with 30 years of service receive 10% and those with 35 years receive 15%. This act takes effect immediately.
