The bill amends the public health law to require retailers, excluding cigar shops, that sell tobacco products in New York to stock and offer for sale at least one type of nicotine replacement therapy product approved by the FDA for tobacco cessation. Retailers have discretion over the number, type, and quantity of products stocked. If they sell out, they must restock within five business days. The commissioner can set requirements for displaying these products and related accessories. The act takes effect 60 days after becoming law.
