This bill amends the village law and public officers law to change residency requirements for police officers in the village of Medina, Orleans County. It allows a person to hold the position of police officer in Medina if they reside in Orleans County, any contiguous county, or Wayne County. However, officers in other villages must still reside in their respective villages unless otherwise provided by law. The changes take effect immediately.
