This bill amends the social services law and the mental hygiene law to establish minimum compensation standards for home health agencies and their employees. It directs the commissioner of health, in consultation with the commissioner of the office for people with developmental disabilities, to develop methodologies to determine these minimum compensation standards. The changes will take effect 180 days after the bill becomes law.
