This bill amends the New York City Civil Court Act, Uniform City Court Act, Uniform District Court Act, and Uniform Justice Court Act to allow small claims judgment creditors to issue information subpoenas effective anywhere in the state. The small claims clerk will issue these subpoenas at nominal cost and provide assistance on their preparation and use. The court retains the same power as the supreme court to punish contempt of court related to these subpoenas.
