Repeals law allowing Orange County to distribute sales and compensating use taxes to its municipalities.
New York S10188 repeals certain provisions of law that allowed Orange County to distribute all of its sales and compensating use taxes to the municipalities within the county. The bill removes the authority previously granted by Section 2 of Chapter 316 of the Laws of 2025. This change takes effect immediately and is retroactive to January 1, 2026.
