Establishes a grant pilot program for musicians to perform at schools in New York.
The bill enacts the visiting artists act to establish a grant pilot program for musicians to perform at schools in New York that receive funding under title one of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Grants will be awarded up to $5,000 per academic year on a first-come, first-served basis. The program will be funded with $5 million from the state treasury. The act will take effect April 1, 2027.
