Authorizes retroactive real property tax exemption for Cong Ahavas Yisrael, Inc. for 2026 assessment roll and 2025-2026 school taxes.

This bill authorizes the assessor of Nassau County to accept an application from Cong Ahavas Yisrael, Inc. for retroactive real property tax exemption for the 2026 assessment roll and all 2025-2026 school taxes. If the assessor determines the organization would be entitled to the exemption, they may grant it, subject to Nassau County legislature approval. The bill also allows for the refund of any taxes paid and cancellation of any remaining unpaid taxes, fines, penalties, interest, or tax liens.
