Increases the number of family court judges in New York City, Westchester, Rockland, Erie, and Niagara counties.
This bill amends the family court act to increase the number of family court judges in New York City to seventy-two. It also provides for two additional family court judges for each of Westchester and Rockland counties and an additional family court judge for each of Erie and Niagara counties. The compensation for these additional judges will match that of existing family court judges in their respective counties.
