Authorizes children aged 18 or older to apply to waive notice and report of permanency hearings.
This bill amends the Family Court Act to allow children who will be 18 or older on the date of a permanency hearing to apply to the court to waive the provision of notice and a copy of the hearing and to redact portions of the hearing report. The application must provide grounds for why providing such notice and report would violate confidentiality or not be in the child's best interests. The court must determine the application no later than 20 days before the hearing.
