This bill authorizes the city of New York to discontinue certain parkland in the borough of Queens and transfer it to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The parklands will revert to the city for public park and recreational purposes if they cease to be used for their intended purpose. The transfer is subject to federal requirements if the city received federal funding for the parklands. The city must also dedicate funds equal to or greater than the fair market value of the parklands for new parklands or capital improvements to existing parklands in Queens.
