This bill authorizes Joseph Fredrick, currently employed as a part-time police officer by the village of Allegany, to take the competitive civil service examination for a full-time police officer position. If he passes the exam, he will be eligible for placement on the eligible list for employment with the village of Allegany. This authorization overrides any contrary provisions in the civil service law.
