New York S09775 amends the executive law to limit the recordkeeping and reporting duties of public notaries to electronic notarization acts. This bill exempts notaries from creating or retaining any other notarial records, except as specified in section one hundred thirty-five-c regarding electronic notarization. The changes take effect immediately upon enactment.
