This bill amends the criminal procedure law to allow any writing or record made as a memorandum or record of any act, transaction, occurrence, or event to be received in grand jury proceedings as evidence if it was made in the regular course of any business. This applies to both physical and electronic records, including those from telephone companies and internet service providers, but excludes recorded conversations or images. The bill also mandates redaction of any material outside the scope of the business record as regularly generated.
