This bill amends the real property law to prohibit foreign adversaries from acquiring or transferring agricultural land in New York after January 1, 2026. The prohibition does not apply to interests held by foreign adversaries before that date or to federally recognized Indian tribes. The Department of Agriculture and Markets must compile an annual report on foreign ownership of agricultural land and energy facilities, including legislative changes. The term "foreign adversary" is defined as any foreign government or nongovernment person determined by the U.S.
