New York S09450 prohibits hunting of leucistic and melanistic deer, except on private property.

New York S09450 amends the environmental conservation law to prohibit the hunting of leucistic deer, including white deer and albino deer, and melanistic deer, which have a black or dark brown coat. The prohibition does not apply to hunting on private property by the owner, lessee, their family, employees, or guests with consent. The law takes effect immediately.
