The bill authorizes the village of Southampton to discontinue and alienate certain parklands. The village must dedicate new parklands before discontinuing the existing ones. The fair market value of the new parklands must be equal to or greater than that of the discontinued parklands. The village must also comply with federal requirements if it received federal funding for the parklands. The act takes effect immediately.
