The bill requires the office of renewable energy siting and electric transmission to establish and/or amend rules and regulations for major renewable energy facilities. These rules must include information on farmland protection and application procedures. The bill also mandates that the office reevaluate the efficacy of certain provisions and propose recommendations to the legislature. The provisions of this bill will be repealed two years after its effective date.
