This bill amends the public health law to mandate a study on the integration of doula care and services within birthing centers, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. The study will evaluate current practices and recommend best practices for doula friendliness in New York state. The Department of Health must submit a final report by December 31, 2027, to the governor, the temporary president of the senate, and the speaker of the assembly.
