The bill directs the commissioner of education to conduct a survey on recess in public and charter schools serving students in kindergarten through grade six. The survey will gather information on the number of schools offering recess, the length and frequency of recess, the location and supervision of recess, and the availability of nurses during school hours. The commissioner must provide the collected information to the governor, the legislature, and relevant committee leaders by March 1, 2026.
