This bill amends the education law to allow the Board of Professional Medical Conduct to access patient or client records for the investigation and prosecution of professional licensing and misconduct proceedings. The records can be obtained from health care facilities or licensed professionals without patient consent. The records remain confidential and are not to be disclosed without patient consent or legal authorization. The bill takes effect immediately.
