Authorizes Nassau County assessor to accept a retroactive tax exemption application for 2020-2021 school and 2021 general taxes on property at 40.

This bill authorizes the Nassau County assessor to accept a retroactive real property tax exemption application from the Incorporated Village of Hempstead Community Development Agency for the 2020-2021 school taxes and the 2021 general taxes on the property located at 40 Byrd Street. If the application is accepted and the organization is deemed eligible, the assessor may correct the tax records and, if applicable, provide a refund for any taxes already paid. The bill takes effect immediately upon enactment.
