The bill authorizes the Congregation Khal Mevakshei Hashem, Inc. to receive retroactive real property tax exemption for the 2024 assessment roll and all of the 2023-2024 school taxes. The assessor of Nassau County can accept an application for exemption from real property taxes for the parcel located at 137 Lawrence Avenue in Lawrence. If the exemption is granted, the governing body or tax department may refund any taxes paid and cancel any remaining unpaid taxes, fines, penalties, interest, or tax liens. The act takes effect immediately.
