New York S08149 amends the retirement and social security law to allow Triborough bridge and tunnel members to include projected overtime earnings from 2022 in their final average salary calculation. This applies to the period beginning with the second pay period in March 2020 and ending with the second pay period in December 2021. Members can replace actual overtime earnings from this period with projected earnings if the latter amount is greater. Members must pay employee contributions for the projected overtime, but not for any actual overtime already rendered and paid for.
