Establishes a Mohawk River Basin district and management program to preserve and enhance the environmental quality of the Mohawk River.

The bill establishes a Mohawk River Basin district and a management program to preserve, protect, restore, and enhance the environmental quality of the Mohawk River. The program includes the Mohawk River from its headwaters to its mouth at the Hudson River, its watershed, and the portion of the New York state Barge Canal connected to the Mohawk River. The commissioner of environmental conservation will appoint a Mohawk River Basin management advisory committee to provide guidance on regulatory, policy, and other matters affecting the management of the district.
