Establishes a 22.5-year retirement program for NYC emergency medical technicians.

The bill establishes a 22.5-year retirement program for emergency medical technicians (EMT) within the New York City Employees' Retirement System (NYCERS). EMT members can elect to participate in this program by filing an application within 180 days of becoming an EMT member. Participants contribute additional member contributions, which are picked up by employers. The retirement benefit for participants includes 50% of their final average salary for the first 22.5 years of service, plus 2% of their final average salary for each additional year of service up to a maximum of 5 years.
