This bill directs the commissioner of health to establish or approve an add-on rate for pediatric practices implementing the HealthySteps model. The HealthySteps model is a nationally recognized model of care that provides services to children from birth up to their sixth birthday. The add-on payment is intended to advance pediatric screenings, behavioral health promotion, and the prevention and treatment of behavioral health issues in children. To be eligible for the add-on rate, pediatric practices must meet HealthySteps specific fidelity criteria.
