New York S07726 amends the education law by adding a new subdivision that directs the commissioner of education to promulgate and review as necessary rules and regulations. These rules will allow trustees and boards of education of schools with a robotics program to conduct interschool robotics competitions for grades nine through twelve. These competitions will be equivalent to the interschool athletic competitions conducted by such schools. The act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
